EPD Nabs Cannabis Business Burglary Suspects

Emeryville Police arrested three suspects on suspicion of burglarizing a cannabis facility early this morning at about 3:35 a.m.

EPD dispatch center received an alarm call from the location at 6613 Hollis Street. When the first officer arrived at the scene, he saw several vehicles fleeing the area. Officers were able to stop two of the fleeing vehicles and detain three subjects.

Upon further investigation, officers discovered forced entry was made into the cannabis business.

Police arrested 20-year-old Rayondre Adanaadus of Oakland and 19-year-old Laveltray Powell of Oakland, for felony burglary. Both adult suspects were booked into the Santa Rita Jail. The third subject, a Juvenile, was taken to Juvenile Hall in San Leandro.

The site, connected to Rotten City Pizza, is not a licensed dispensary but an “incubator” facility that allows manufacturing, processing, packaging and storing of cannabis products. Cannabis businesses that list this location as their business address include Golden State Cannabis Delivery Service and Sunderstorm which manufactures cannabis infused products.
