The E’ville Eye failed to make the distinction between “the city” and Councilmembers that are leading the effort to support U & V. Also, we inadvertently referred to the city’s education campaign as “Barnstorming” which would imply a political agenda.

Story was corrected to clarify that Trader Vic’s does not own the property where their restaurant is located.

City Council Filing Period Extended after No Incumbents File; School Board Incumbents See Challenger
Story was corrected to reflect a technical error in filing protocols as well as clarify the inability of the city to appoint councilmembers during this election since this election will include a ballot measure.


December 19, 2023
Welch Elevated to Mayor; Mourra Vice Mayor in Surprise Vote; Bauters declares intent to seek 3rd term
“Medina resigned from council a few months later forcing the city to hold an expensive Special Election won by current Vice Mayor Courtney Welch.” Story was corrected to reflect the conflation of the 2021 resignation of Christian Patz with Ally Medina’s 2022 resignation.
