Monday Shooting Suspect Identified by Emeryville Police Department

The Emeryville Police Department has identified the suspect involved in the shooting that occurred near Target on Monday night.

Cameron Smith, 22, of Oakland has been charged with a total of eight counts including two counts of attempted murder. Smith is being held at Santa Rita Jail and scheduled to be arraigned in Oakland on December 18th.

The two subjects with gunshot wounds remain in critical condition.

The Emeryville Police Department would like to thank the Oakland Police Department for their continued assistance in the investigation.
