EPD asking for help identifying ‘Hit and Run’ Driver

The Emeryville Police are asking for assistance from the public identifying a vehicle and driver that they say “intentionally collide with a pedestrian” yesterday.

According to am EPD press release, on Thursday January 05, at approximately 6:17 p.m., Emeryville Police Officers responded to the 3800 Block of Emery Street near Pak ‘N Save for a report of a vehicle colliding with a pedestrian. Officers arrived and assisted in providing aid to the pedestrian.

During the investigation, it was discovered the driver of the vehicle appeared to intentionally collide with the pedestrian. The driver of the vehicle was last seen driving south on Emery Street toward West Oakland.

The victim was not transported to a hospital via ambulance and instead sought medical attention on their own. They were treated at a local hospital and reported to be at home recovering from their injuries.

The vehicle was described as an older white Dodge caravan, possible early 2000’s model.

The driver of the vehicle was described as a tall African American female with a “curly wig.” Neither the hit and run victim nor the witness were able to capture a license plate for the suspect vehicle.
