Cybertip by ICAC leads to Emeryville PD arrest of Child Pornography Suspect

A cybertip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force led to the arrest of an Emeryville resident for possession of child pornography.

Emeryville PD Detectives received the tip on July 2nd from the National Center For Missing and Exploited Children. The tip captured a IP address located in the 4300 block of Adeline Street that had illegally downloaded child pornography.

After a further investigation, a search warrant was served at a residence of the area on July 25. During the service of the warrant, several electronic devices were seized. A scanning of the devices revealed over a thousand child pornography images.

Ricardo Corona was arrested and booked into the Alameda County Santa Rita Jail for possession of child pornography. Corona was charged on July 29 by the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office for possession of child pornography.
