NBC reports shooting death of man near Oakland/Emeryville Border

1 min read

Oakland PD’s ShotSpotter system, that triangulates the location of gunfire, alerted authorities to a man who was shot on the corner of San Pablo Avenue and 35th street about 4:30 a.m. this morning. The location is on the corner of the Chevron gas station that many Emeryville residents pass en route to the Highway 24 & I-580 freeway on-ramps. A security guard for the nearby California Hotel came to the man’s aid, but the victim died at the scene. The witness noted a black Jeep fleeing the scene after the crime.
