Assault with a baseball bat near East Bay Bridge Shopping Center leaves man injured

On Tuesday July 18th at about 6:57 p.m., Emeryville Police Dispatch received several 911 calls regarding a man being beaten with a baseball bat that occurred in the 3800 block of Emery St.

As officers were en route the callers reported several people ran from the scene and one man was left bleeding from the head. Officers arrived within minutes and the man was treated for a serious head injury. The man did not know his attacker and was taken by paramedics to a hospital.

Emeryville Police are requesting any witnesses or anyone with cell phone video to please call the Emeryville Police and speak with investigators at 510-596-3700.
