Armed Drug Dealer arrested near Emeryville/Oakland Border

Emeryville Officers made an arrest while patrolling what is known as a high crime area for drug sales on the Emeryville/Oakland Border last night. The incident took place near the 3500 block of Hollis Street behind Home Depot at approximately 10:25 p.m.

Officers spotted the suspect sitting in his car conducting what appeared to be drug sales. Officer contacted the suspect and brought in a department K-9 trained in locating drugs. The investigation revealed drugs, a large sum of money and scales. The Officers also located a loaded firearm and ammunition.

A weapon, ammunition and drugs were recovered from the arrest.

Bobby McCoy, 41, of Oakland was arrested and charged with Narcotic sales, Possession of Firearm & Possession of Ammunition. McCoy is a convicted Felon and is prohibited from possessing a firearm and ammunition. McCoy was arrested for the above charges.
