Arizmendi Emeryville made the exciting announcement that they will be soft-opening this week by offering coffee service. They will be ramping up their production over the next few days and gradually rolling out their selection of pastries, salads and pizza.

They’ve been closed since December 11, 2018 when a vehicle struck a gas line in the lot behind their bakery causing a fire and water intrusion damage. They also encountered significant construction delays exacerbated by struggles with their insurance carrier.

“We are happy to announce that we will be soft opening on Wednesday February 12,” they announced in an email to supporters.

They anticipate assuming a regular schedule from 7am-7pm beginning Tuesday, February 18.

Customers will be treated to a dramatically renovated interior with an entirely new customer flow.

Customers will have to adjust to entering the bakery through the entrance on San Pablo Avenue (as opposed to the previous side entrance by Wing Stop). The pastry cabinet and service counter have effectively been swapped and customers will now follow a counter-clockwise direction.

Arizmendi cautioned that their schedule and menu items might be subject to change depending on a variety of factors. They will continue their previous schedule of being closed on Mondays.

Anticipated Soft Opening Hours:

Wed, Feb 12: 7am-11am (coffee service only)
Thurs, Feb 13: 7am -11am (coffee service/select pastries)
Fri, Feb 14: 7am-7pm (coffee/limited pizza from 11am-7pm/select pastries)
Sat/Sun, Feb 15-16: 7am-7pm (coffee/some pastries/limited pizza/soup+salads)
