Starter Bakery – Wholesale Pastries

Taking over the spot where Blue Bottle Coffee got their start in the Beach Street office park facing Target is a new wholesale Bakery. In addition to selling at the Temescal Famers Market, they also sell their pastries at distinguished clients like Pizzailo in Oakland & farm:table in SF. Their signature pastry is the “Kouign Amann” and it’s like nothing I’ve ever tasted. Per their description: “Translated from Celtic as “butter cake” – this traditional Breton pastry is a cross between a croissant and a palmier. Crispy & flaky – Kouign Amann is made with salted butter, which gives the treat its distinctive salty & sweet flavor.”

Check out Starter’s pastries at one of the listed spots on their website or pre-order a batch for the office, they’ll love you for it. | Starter Bakery »
