One of E’ville’s most famous residents, “Fast Freddie” Fred Rodriguez, attempts to come back at the age of 38 after a three year hiatus from the sport. Rodriguez signed with Team Exergy last June after his previous sponsor U.S.-based Rock Racing was denied license by the sports’ governing body.

Freddy and his family resided at the Emeryville Warehouse lofts and most recently at the nearby Icon Residences on Park Avenue. Freddy is considered a sprint specialist who’s career highlights include being a 3-time National Road Champion as well as winning stages of the Tour d’Italia and Tour de Georgia.

  1. Oh awesome, that is such great news. Freddy was my neighbor at the lofts – he and his family rock (no pun intended). I have been wondering what had become of him since Rock Racing’s demise. Go Fred!
