Giving Tuesday: Emeryville-centric Nonprofits to give to this Holiday Season
Entering its sixth year, Giving Tuesday is a “global day of giving” founded by 92T.org and fueled by the power of social media and collaboration. #GivingTuesday is celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving following the more capitalist-driven Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping days. PayPal will waive all transaction fees and add 1% to your donations when donations are made through their platform through December 31st.
Homeless services, children’s causes, conservation, the arts, animals – there are so many deserving causes to contribute to this holiday season. To help, we’ve compiled a list of Emeryville-centric nonprofits and a few that are making a difference within our city. The E’ville Eye is not a registered nonprofit and thus donations are not tax-deductible, but if you want to support local news and our mission of informing and connecting our community, we’d also appreciate your support.
If you are an Emeryville-based nonprofit that we unfortunately missed, please contact us and we’ll update this list.
