“Family Friendly” Emeryville on display at annual Spring Carnival and Egg Hunt

1 min read

It was perfect spring weather and it seemed as if every family within a square mile was on hand for the annual Emeryville Spring Carnival and Egg Hunt held at Doyle-Hollis Park. Our included photo gallery, captured through the lens of photographer Nick Sebastian and a handful of residents, showcases the day and amazing diversity of our region.

The event, organized by Emeryville Community Services, featured face-painting, a petting zoo, arts & crafts, jumpers and other community vendors. “We were very happy with the event” noted Community Services Director Pedro Jimenez  who estimated over 500 were in attendance and 6000 eggs distributed. “I just would like to say a big ‘thank you’ to all the staff and everyone who helped and especially the community members that came out to enjoy the day.”

In a city facing serious challenges with retaining families and community building, there were clear reasons for optimism on this wonderful, sun-kissed day.
